Life-Changing Attitude, I.S. I want to share how coming to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim has changed my life. Prior to attending the Full-Time Training, I was working, and had many responsibilities. I had to supervise eight staff members, and go to court to testify on cases investigated either by my staff or by me. I also gave presentations to the community about the agency I worked for, and answered questions about the available services, etc. During my thirteen years with the agency, first as an investigator and then as a supervisor, punctuality was an issue that affected my performance. I don't believe my bosses were aware of my late presentations at court hearings on many occasions. The bad thing about all this is that inwardly I felt no remorse, each time I would promise I would change, but I was without any remorse or consciousness of how I was affecting and impacting not only the agency I worked for but the people we were providing services to, the tax payers' money, etc. There seemed to be no possibility to change. From the beginning of my first semester in the Training, I was able to hear and even to see how crucial it is for the Lord's work that our character be changed. Again I surely thought I could accomplish this change and that I would do my best to avoid being late to class and even to do all my reading assignments within the time allotted. Another deficiency in my character manifested in my work was procrastination. As the time in the Training progressed I challenged myself not to be late, but to no avail. Little by little I sensed that I was becoming punctual and, even though I cannot explain it in words, I know that there was something inside of me, stronger than my own will, that started the change. I began to have a consciousness not to be late. Even the Lord Jesus was not late (John 7:6-9); therefore He was able to fulfill God's plan for my salvation. This life-changing attitude within me even touched my conscience, and I had to write to my ex-supervisors to apologize to them for my nonchalant attitude with regard to punctuality which affected the people we served, the agency, and even misrepresenting God. As a believer having the life of Christ, I can express the One that went through so many things in time to reach me, the One who was considerate and loved mankind. I am so thankful for the Training because in it I have realized the importance of Christ being my punctuality and diligence. This will help me when I return to work and continue reaching men with the gospel. Main | History | Testimonies | Links Copyright © 2002. Christian Websites. All Rights Reserved |
